Henkel/Loctite resins calibrated on Zortrax Inkspire 2
Henkel/Loctite is one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance, engineering resins. Zortrax engineering team in cooperation with experts from Henkel/Loctite has built throughly tested printing profile for each Henkel/Loctite material supported on the Inkspire 2. This extensive calibration process included printing samples at both Zortrax and Henkel laboratories and post-processing them with Zortrax Cleaning Station and Zortrax Curing Station. Various printing parameters were changed and tested until thermal and mechanical properties declared by Henkel/Loctite have been achieved in parts 3D printed on the Inkspire 2 out of each resin.
Tough resins
Tough resins can endure very high loads before they break. Compared to rigid materials, they give way a little bit sooner under stress but need higher force to reach the breaking point. As such, tough resins are usually used for mechanical components working under significant loads.
Applications
Load-bearing components
Impact-resistant components
Wear and tear resistant components
Key benefits
High mechanical strength
High impact-resistance
Resistance to wear and tear
