Resin 3D printing made better

The technology behind Zortrax Inkspire relies on a high resolution LCD screen with UV LED backlighting
to cure photopolymers layer by layer

Microscopic precision

The smallest object Zortrax Inkspire can 3D print is a cuboid measuring 50x50x25 microns

Consistent speed

Same high speed of 20-36 mm/h is maintained regardless of how much of the workspace is filled

External resins

All available resins that can be cured by light with 405 nm wavelength are supported

On-the-fly Settings

Print settings like time of layer's exposure or rest between layers can be changed on the fly

Meet UV LCD technology

Stereolithography (SLA) and Digital Light Processing (DLP) are two traditional resin 3D printing technologies. In SLA, the precision is constant, but the speed of operation is in inverse proportion to the amount of workspace taken by the model. In DLP, the speed of operation is constant, but the precision falls as the amount of used workspace increases. Zortrax UV LCD offers constant high speed and precision regardless of how much of the workspace is in use.

Serial production

Zortrax Inkspire maintains constant high speed of operation and accuracy regardless of how much of the workspace is used. With one printer making 50 to 80 parts in 51 min, 30 printers working together can offer an approximate monthly output of 650,000 to 1,000,000 parts. That's why Zortrax Inkspire can work as a basic production unit in easily scalable 3D printing farms capable of short-series manufacturing.

Compatible resins

Zortrax Inkspire works with a range of dedicated Zortrax Resins. External resins are fully supported, provided they can be cured by light with 405 nm wavelength.

Available Zortrax Resins: PRO, FLEXIBLE, DENTAL MODEL, BASIC

Zortrax Resin PRO

Improved resilience

Zortrax Resin PRO is an epoxy-based resin with improved impact and bending resistance in comparison with Zortrax Resin Basic. It offers high degree of detail and ease of post-processing.

Zortrax Resin FLEXIBLE

Strength and flexibility

Zortrax Resin FLEXIBLE is an elastic, epoxy based resin that comes back to its original shape after bending. It offers smooth surfaces, high level of detail, and sharp edges.

Zortrax Resin DENTAL MODEL

Gypsum-like texture

Zortrax Resin DENTAL MODEL is a precise resin with a gypsum-like texture designed for digital dentistry. It offers very high level of detail sufficient for accurate modeling of teeth. Not meant for intraoral use.

Zortrax Resin BASIC

Impeccable precision

Zortrax Resin BASIC is an epoxy-based resin dedicated for Zortrax Inkspire. It guarantees impeccable details and great mechanical properties. It's also durable, easy to paint and needs short curing times.

External resins

External resins are fully supported with no loss of utility, provided that they can be cured by UV light with 405 nm wavelength. Z-SUITE software that comes free with every Zortrax Inkspire 3D printer has an "External Resins" section where it is possible to manually choose all printing parameters as recommended by a third-party manufacturer to get the best results. Chosen settings can be saved as profiles and reused in the future.

Applications

Resin 3D printing is a technology perfect for professionals working in fields where very small yet incredibly detailed models are needed. The precision and speed of Zortrax Inkspire makes it a game changing tool for dentists, jewelers, and watch designers among others.

Flexible manufacturing

Zortrax Inkspire 3D printers offer scalable, flexible manufacturing capabilities for businesses needing small, precise components. It is a perfect tool for engineers working at research and development departments and on production lines in various industries from automotive through aerospace to consumer electronics.

Art and entertainment

Small yet beautifully designed models made on resin 3D printers are useful for artists and the entertainment industry. Detailed figurines can be made for board games. Small intricate gifts made in limited series are perfect for marketing and public relations departments.

Dental prosthetics

Resin 3D printers are particularly useful in making dental casts faster and more efficient. Compared with traditional dental modeling techniques, Zortrax Inkspire allows less invasive procedures requiring little to no patient's involvement. 3D printed models of patients' oral cavities are used to form dental casts, prostheses, and bridges.

Jewelry design

Modeling intricate rings, necklaces, and other jewelry requires an immense precision a good resin 3D printer can offer. 3D printed models are used in the lost wax casting process. A master model is immersed in a refractory casting material to create a mold for final jewelry items made of various metals.

Surgical precision

From art to engineering, Zortrax Inkspire is perfect in all applications where superior precision makes the difference. With 50x50 microns pixel size and 25 microns minimal layer height, it can 3D print models with no visible layering or vertical lines. The human eye can't see individual pixels when the image has more than 336 pixels per inch. Pixel density in models 3D printed on Zortrax Inkspire exceeds this value regardless of the viewing angle.

Attention to detail

Zortrax Inkspire has been designed to 3D print highly detailed models. It builds models out of tiny cuboids, measuring 50x50x25 microns.Because of these microscopic dimensions, Zortrax Inkspire can be up to 9x more precise than the circular brush of leading SLA 3D printers, especially when printing rectangular shapes. Check Inkspire's precision in comparison to leading SLA 3D printer below.

Z-SUITE for Zortrax Inkspire

Z-SUITE is a dedicated slicing and 3D printing farm management software that comes free with every Zortrax 3D printer. Now it has a number of additional functionalities to make working with Zortrax Inkspire an effortless experience.

Rotation Optimization

Rotation Optimization Tool is an algorithm that optimizes the model's position on the build platform. It can reduce the amount of required support, improve the model's adhesion to the platform, or speed up the printing process. This way even unexperienced users can get high-quality prints.

Resin profiles

Z-SUITE makes it easy to work with all available resins. Settings for dedicated Zortrax Resins are already there to choose from. For external resins, all printing parameters can be set manually and saved to be reused in the future.

Smart supports

Times of exposure to UV light for the model and support structures can be set independently. More exposure makes supports harder than the rest of the model which means they can be designed thinner. This way their footprint on the model is reduced and less post-processing is needed.

Remote management

Prints can be paused or resumed and progress can be monitored remotely on each Zortrax Inkspire connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Larger dental labs can easily manage multiple Zortrax Inkspire 3D printers from one workstation.

Accessories

Zortrax Ultrasonic Cleaner

for Zortrax Inkspire

Zortrax Ultrasonic Cleaner is a device that automatically cleans models using high frequency sound waves propagated in isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Just fill the container with IPA, put the model in, and turn the device on. The cleaning process takes up to 3 min. To guarantee the highest quality of prints on Zortrax Inkspire it is recommended to clean the models in Zortrax Ultrasonic Cleaner.
