The latest raport on recent trends in 3D printing from April 2015 was based on data stored by 3D Hubs community. That means that to complete this report 3D Hubs used the data concerning 13 500 3D devices from 150 countries that were registered in the service and thousands of prints ordered. The report covers not only the best devices both in desktop and industrial categories, but also other interesting data, like the most popular 3D software, the most active cities when it comes to 3D printing, and even the gegraphical scheme of places where 3D prints are ordered most often. 3D Hubs is a website that facilitates contact between owners of 3D printers and people who don’t have their own printers. Thanks to it everyone who needs 3D prints can order them via the webpage.

Zortrax M200 printer was said to be the best desktop device concerning the quality of about 400 printers that were included in the April ranking of 3D printers of this kind. The ranking gathers only printers that have more than 25 reviews on their accounts. Polish product has scored 4,81 points out of 5 available, based of 234 reviews.

„We perceive awards from 3D community as a double success as they show that we created a product that is an answer to the real needs of users.” said Rafał Tomasiak, CEO Zortrax. „That’s the second time our solution has been awarded by 3D Hubs community – last year our printer was chosen to be the best plug&play device”.

Zortrax M200 is based on LPD (Layer Plastic Deposition) technology where models are printed from melted printing material, usually plastic, layer after layer till it forms the desired shape. From1+, a printer that took the second place in the ranking, uses stereolithography technology where printing is based on the process of curing special resin by a bundle of laser. Assumingly, the technology enables to create prints of higher resolution than 3D printers that use FDM technology, however, it was Zortrax printer which gained higher appreciation from users.

Zortrax M200 3D printer is characterised by high quality of print and low cost (the suggested retail net price is 1 990 USD). The device is dedicated to proffessional users from branches that require fast prototyping, like e. g. designers, architects and others. Zortrax M200 3D printer is being sold in 49 countries worldwide, including the United States, India, Germany and Poland. The complete version of this report is available on 3D Hubs website.

3D Hubs is the biggest and the fastest growing network of 3D printers located in 7000 places among 140 countries. The service aims at providing the access to 3D prints to the biggest possible numer of people worldwide by enabling contact of 3D (Hubs) printers owners with their potential customers. It is at the same time the fastest growing community gathered around the phenomenon of 3D print.
